Professor Tim Densler is adjunct instructor with The College of Business. He has been teaching accounting related courses and helping students recognize their full potential in the accounting and business curriculums for the past eight years. He has been adjunct professor for over 25 years, while building his professional career as CPA and as a Chief Financial Officer in the private sector. His teaching experiences includes several years, with Wilmington University, Wilmington De., Wesley College, Dover DE and most recently, with Sullivan University and Indiana Wesleyan University.
Professor Densler started his profession right after serving in the United State Air Force. He entered public accounting as a CPA and later started his adjunct teaching career at Wilmington University, Wilmington Delaware. He has been and will always be committed to helping the next generation of accountants to be successful in their pursuit in becoming the next CPAs.
His professional background is quite diversified in both public and private industries. He once worked as the Chief Finance Administrator for the Secretary of the Department of Transportation, State of Delaware. In 2000, he joined a law firm as Director of Finance. His first task was to implement a new accounting, time and billing, and conflict system for the firm. It was at this time he learned the importance of how accountants must learn to leverage the new technology to gain a competitive advantage. He went on to implement several computer systems in law firms and help develop KPI’s for lawyers.
Tim currently works as a Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operation Officer for a law firm in Tampa Florida. But Kentucky will always be home to him.
He is a member of the National American Institute of the Certified Public Accountants and hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Wilmington University, a Master's degree in Taxation from Widener University and an Executive MBA from Temple University, Philadelphia, Pa.
His professional certifications are in the accounting and finance areas with a Certified Public Accountant, (CPA) and Certified Global Management Accountant, (CGMA) designations.
