Dr. Miller received his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University, a master’s in business administration from Bowling Green State University, a master’s in accountancy with honors from the University of Louisville, and a doctorate in business administration from Argosy University in Sarasota, Florida.
His professional certifications are in the accounting and finance areas with a Certified Management Accountant, (CMA) and Certified in Financial Management, (CFM) designations.
He has worked in private industry within the finance and accounting functions for both a property and casualty insurance company and an electric utility company. His teaching experiences have taken him to Ohio, (Terra Community College), Wisconsin, (University of Wisconsin System) and currently, Kentucky. He is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants and American Accounting Association.
His professional research interests are in the areas of business ethics and teaching pedagogy. A particular interest is helping his students make ‘connections’ of their coursework to their overall curriculum and eventual professional goals. His personal interests include traveling all 50 states, (on my second time around), hiking the major national parks, reading, and activities with family.
