Admissions information
The admissions process consists of two stages: submission of documentation to the Ph.D. Admissions Committee and subsequent review by the committee, with final decisions approved by the PhD coordinator.
Applicants must submit a completed graduate school application, a non-refundable enrollment fee, official transcripts showing a minimum 3.0 GPA in master's coursework, contact information for three references, and a 750-word essay detailing their qualifications for doctoral studies.
Students must complete 90 credit hours to finish the program, including a dissertation course (MGT/CMM/CSC/HRL 799) that requires full-time enrollment. Up to 44 credit hours may be transferred from a regionally accredited doctoral program, but comprehensive exam and dissertation hours are not eligible for transfer. All credit transfer decisions are made by the Ph.D. Admissions Committee and approved by the Dean.
