BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Massey is a Louisville native. She received a B.A. in Biological Sciences from DePauw University in 1997. She received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Louisville in 2001, and was recognized for excellence in scholarship and leadership as the recipient of the John Richard Binford Memorial Award. In 2004, Dr. Massey completed a postdoctoral project studying Cancer Genetics, and then joined the James Graham Brown Cancer Center to study lipid signaling enzymes as molecular targets.
Dr. Massey joined the faculty at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 2005, and became Assistant Professor of Biochemistry in 2006. In 2015, Dr. Massey joined the faculty in the Sullivan University Physician Assistant Program, where she teaches Microbiology, Genetics, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, and Research Methods and Evidence Based Medicine.
