Curriculum
Overview
The didactic year builds a strong foundation in biomedical, clinical, and behavioral sciences, with a focus on physical diagnosis and critical thinking. Students begin with basic sciences and gross anatomy, progressing to case-based learning and OSCEs to sharpen their skills. After written and practical exams, students enter the clinical year, completing seven required rotations and one elective. In the final months, they pass the Summative OSCE and End of Curriculum Exam, preparing for the PANCE.
Due to the program’s intensity, outside employment is strongly discouraged.
Applicants should be aware that all courses within the professional didactic and clinical curriculum of the Sullivan University Physician Assistant program are required. The Physician Assistant program does not recognize advanced placement or credit for experiential learning, international medical experience, and/or credit earned from another Physician Assistant program or medical school.
