LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Sullivan University – home to the renowned College of Hospitality Studies – has once again been ranked as one of the best culinary schools in the United States.

Sullivan was ranked 10th in a listing of the country’s top Culinary Schools by University Magazine, which used U.S. Department of Education data to compile the rankings.

“Although it offers numerous programs in other fields of study, Sullivan is probably best known for its culinary school,” the magazine wrote. “The programs at Sullivan are committed to ensuring career-readiness, with options to focus on becoming a chef, a baker, or working in management.”

Sullivan Director of Culinary Arts Chef G. Allen Akmon said that he has long been “amazed at the level of talent, passion and experience of the Chefs that have come together under one roof here in Louisville, Kentucky.”

“The fact that Sullivan University was ranked in the top ten culinary schools in the nation speaks volumes to the pride that the faculty not only takes in their approach but also how they instill that very pride within our students as representatives of the institution as well as the industry,” Chef Akmon said. “Outsiders constantly praise the camaraderie of our faculty, and to me that is a major advantage that we have over most other schools. Our Chefs cooperate, share and support the common goals of their colleagues and students as well as this institution – traits that are not often associated with chefs.”

Sullivan’s culinary school has been consistently ranked as one of the nation’s best:
