Dr. Stowe attended the University of Kentucky and received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 1990 and Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1991 from the UK College of Pharmacy. She completed a General Clinical Pharmacy Residency and a Pediatric Pharmacy Specialty Residency at the UK Albert B. Chandler Medical Center. Immediately following residency education, she completed a Pediatric Pharmacotherapy Research Fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy. She was on the faculty of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Pharmacy (COP) from 1995 until 2014. During that time she advanced through the academic ranks to hold the rank of Professor with Tenure in the UAMS COP and had a secondary academic appointment in the UAMS College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics Division of Clinical Pharmacology & Toxicology. She served as a member of the UAMS COP’s leadership team as Associate Dean from 2005 to 2014. Her expertise lies within the area of programmatic, curricular, and student learning assessment using authentic assessment methods such as the objective structured clinical examination methodology. Dr. Stowe became Dean of Sullivan University College of Pharmacy on July 1, 2014.
