Biography

Dr. Amber Cann earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Kentucky and her Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Louisville. Dr. Cann has worked in community hospital, community pharmacy, and pharmaceutical compounding settings. From 2003 to 2013, Dr. Cann made her career in healthcare informatics. She was responsible for coordinating the build of large hospital systems’ pharmacy and oncology electronic medical systems. She is a member of the Kentucky Pharmacists Association and past committee member on the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy Professionals Recovery Network board. She also volunteers as a pharmacist at The Healing Place.

Dr. Cann joined the faculty of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in January 2013. She serves as director of the Drug Information Center and Academic Informatics.
