Hospitality students earn 13 medals at national culinary competition

Proving once again that Sullivan University’s National Center for Hospitality Studies is one of the country’s premier culinary schools, a team of Culinary and Baking & Pastry Arts students won 13 medals at the American Culinary Federation competition in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The team brought home five gold, four silver and four bronze medals. Jessica Waked Diaz (pictured, third from left), a Baking & Pastry Arts student from Bogotá, Colombia, won three gold medals, the most in school history.

Sullivan’s Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry Arts programs are accredited by the American Culinary Federation (ACF) and recognized as exemplary programs, the highest educational standard awarded by the ACF Education Accrediting Commission.
