Lexington Culinary Students Compete in Kentucky Beef Council Grilling Competition

 In Latest News, NCHS

During the Summer Carnival at Sullivan University’s Lexington campus on July 9, eight Culinary students were selected to participate in a grilling competition sponsored by the Kentucky Beef Council. The Kentucky Beef Council is a strong supporter of Sullivan’s Culinary program and has sponsored a grilling competition on the Lexington campus for the past several years. Students competed by grilling a pound of cowboy rib eye using the flavor combinations of their choice. The top four students received a combined total of $1,500 from the Kentucky Beef Council. Wade Larson was the first place winner. Thank you to the Kentucky Beef Council for this great opportunity for Sullivan’s students!

First place winner Wade Larson and Chloe Dykes, who finished in fourth place, participate in the grilling competition.
