Physician Assistant Program
On behalf of the Sullivan University Physician Assistant Program faculty and staff, I am pleased to welcome you to our website where you will find information about the PA profession and Sullivan’s twenty-four month, graduate-level PA program.
The U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects tremendous growth and increased opportunities for the PA profession. PAs work in every medical specialty as valued members of the health care team and the profession offers unmatched flexibility across the spectrum of health care.
We are pleased that every member of our graduating classes of 2016 and 2017 has passed the national certification exam (PANCE) and is eligible to be licensed and practice as a PA. Thanks to our wonderful faculty and staff whose combined efforts deliver a quality curriculum, developed to prepare students for clinical practice.
We enjoy the dedicated support of Chancellor A.R. Sullivan, SUS President Glenn Sullivan, SU President/CEO Jay Marr, Provost/VP Dr. Diana Lawrence, Dean Dr. Cindy Stowe, Associate Dean Dr. Walter Soja and all the administration and staff of Sullivan University. They inspire us to an appreciation for teamwork, life-long learning and professionalism in all our endeavors. It is with this support that we have developed the process of self-assessment and continuous improvement which guides us.
The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status to the Sullivan University Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Sullivan University. Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.
Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be March 2028. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA policy.
It is inspiring to see the caliber of students applying to our program, many candidates already hold master degrees in complementary areas. We encourage you to review our prerequisites and curriculum to see how your own experience and education may support your goal of becoming a PA.
Please visit the tabs to the right of this page where you will find answers to our most frequent questions. If you would like to speak with our admissions specialist or someone in our program, please call 502-413-8939 or email us at PAProgram@sullivan.edu. We look forward to hearing from you.
