Prerequisite Courses and Requirements


The following requirements must be met for consideration for admission into the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) Program.

  • 72 semester hours (or 108 quarter hours) of non-remedial coursework from a:
    • Regionally accredited United States college or university
    • Recognized post-secondary Canadian institution that uses English as the primary language of instruction
  • All pre-pharmacy courses must be completed by June prior to matriculation
  • Grades of C or better must be achieved in the required pre-pharmacy courses
  • Math and science courses must not be more than six (6) years old (this will be considered on a case-by-case basis)
  • Competitive GPA; preference given to 3.0 and greater
  • Standardized Test Score is Required – PCAT preferred, other test scores may be considered (e.g. GRE, MCAT, etc.). Scores must not be more than 2 years old at the start of each application cycle.
  • If English is a second language, we do require a TOEFL score.
  • Completion of application via PharmCAS
