The College of Business Administration (COBA) maintains close ties with the employers who hire our graduates. Business leaders not only serve on the COBA’s advisory boards to ensure that our degree programs remain current and relevant to the demands and expectations of the marketplace, they also participate with faculty members in the classroom.

Business courses are delivered by faculty members who not only possess the academic credentials that indicate they are experts in their fields of study, but who have also have spent years working in the field. Because of their practical experience in their field of study, they are able to bring a real world perspective to the classroom, and they’re able to answer students’ questions about what it is really like working in a business environment.


To prepare students for entry into a business career by providing a foundation of general education courses combined with business courses that focus on relevant topics such as business and organizational management, basic supervision, business ethics and law and small business management. This career diploma also includes a professional development course designed to help you prepare for interviews.


The College of Business Administration (COBA) strives to ensure that all of its academic degree programs are up-to-date and relevant to the demands of the marketplace and employers who hire our graduates. COBA facilitates this value by maintaining close relationships with local employers. Not only do COBA faculty members visit managers working in the marketplace, they also invite employers to actively participate in the student learning process.

For instance, our Professional Development course, which teaches you how to create your résumé, market yourself and prepare for job interviews, invites local business managers to conduct classroom visits as well as mock interview sessions to help you better understand employer expectations. This real-world approach is carried out throughout all COBA academic degree programs, including the Business Administration Career Diploma and the Associate of Science in Business Management programs.
