Angela Riggs

Early Childhood Education

Angela Riggs is the Director of the Early Childhood Education (ECE) department at Sullivan University’s Louisville campus, where she has been employed since 2000. For 15 years, she led the department as the director before being named ECE dean. Presently, Angela focuses on course development for ECE online and aligning program outcomes and assessments. With more than 20 years of teaching experience from PreK to the college level, she enjoys sharing her experiences with others.

Additional leadership opportunities include: creating a customized textbook (Under the Child Care Umbrella), Level 5 trainer for Kentucky, active learning training team leader, interview on the Today Show, community outreach with Wayside Christian Mission, International Nanny Association board of directors and KY Governor’s Work Group.
