John Koenig is the IT manager for a Kentucky-based insurance company. He manages a variety of technology to support business needs, including Microsoft Windows operating systems, Active Directory, databases, mail servers, virtualization, SANs, Linux, scripting and disaster recovery. He also manages the IT staff and coordinates project planning and execution with business units.  Upon completing his bachelor’s degree, John began utilizing technology in the classroom and quickly realized the exciting opportunities technology can afford in education and business. John has over a decade of experience as an IT professional and has taught IT courses within The Sullivan University System since 2002. He holds multiple certifications from CompTIA and Microsoft, and enjoys the lifelong challenge of learning about new technologies and using those technologies to support new business needs.
