Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences
The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Sullivan University College of Pharmacy is made up of a dynamic cadre of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical professional scientists committed to advancing health care through scholarly research and professional and graduate education of pharmacists in the Louisville Metro area at large in collaboration with local partner institutions.
Along with generating competent professionals to serve the community, the mission of the department is to design a curriculum that utilizes and supports cutting-edge research technologies and offers a firm scientific foundation to the Pharmacy students which they can apply in their clinical experiences. This in turn will foster in the minds of students critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a desire for lifelong learning culminating in the creation of specialized graduate programs in Pharmacology and Pharmaceutics at a later stage.
- Support the advancement of pharmacy education by integrating both clinical and translational research with an emphasis on a future drug developmental center.
- Recruit and retain excellent educators and scientists who are vital to fulfilling the visions of the department.
