Biography
Dr. Soja obtained his B.S. from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Rhode Island in 1973, his M.S. in Hospital Pharmacy from Northeastern University in Boston in 1978, and his Pharm.D. from the University of Rhode Island in 1999. Since his graduation, Dr. Soja has been involved in the last 30 years in hospital pharmacy, most recently as Director of Pharmacy Services from 1988-2007. Dr. Soja has made numerous presentations (13) and publications (4) in hospital pharmacy, has been actively involved in teaching at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Rhode Island, and was a preceptor of pharmacy school students on rotation in the hospital setting. He received the Preceptor of the Year award in 1998 from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Rhode Island and the Hospital Pharmacist of the Year in 1988 from the Rhode Island Society of Hospital Pharmacists. He is a member of several professional societies, and has been actively involved in the profession of pharmacy, such as holding various chairmanships for different sections of the Rhode Island Society of Hospital Pharmacists.
