Biography
Sarah in a native North Carolinian and proud Tar Heel. She attended the University of North Carolina (UNC) where she received her Doctorate in Pharmacy degree in 2004. Sarah then completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina followed by a specialty residency in ambulatory care at UNC. Before arriving at SUCOP, Sarah practiced for five years as a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner in the Department of Family Medicine at UNC Health Care. She also served as the director of the PGY-2 Pharmacotherapy Residency offered at UNC and served as a preceptor for PharmD students and PGY-1 and PGY-2 residents for inpatient and outpatient family medicine rotations. While at UNC Sarah was awarded the Best Preceptor of the Year award from fourth year PharmD students in 2007 and the Golden Apple Residency Teaching Award from the Class of 2011 Family Medicine residents.
