Biography

Dr. Malcom obtained his Pharm.D. from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy in 2008, then went on to complete a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and a PGY-2 Specialty residency in Critical Care at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN (affiliated with the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy). During this time, he achieved expertise in caring for critically ill patients and was an educator of pharmacy students and residents. Dr. Malcom’s research has been accepted for oral presentations and poster presentations at regional and international meetings including the 2010 Midyear Meeting of the Tennessee Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists, the 2009 and 2010 American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists Midyear Clinical Meeting, and the 2010 International Conference of the American Thoracic Society. Dr. Malcom also maintains active memberships in professional organizations such as the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. During the 2009-2010 year, Dr. Malcom also served on the Practice Advancement Committee within the Pharmacy Council of the University Health-Systems Consortium. Dr. Malcom’s practice site is the Emergency Department at Baptist Hospital East, which will serve as a clinical training site for students and residents.
