Biography
Dr. Al-Ghananeem received her B.S. Degree in Pharmacy from University of Jordan College of Pharmacy (1993), Masters and Ph.D. (1999) from the University of Kentucky, where she also completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Drug Delivery and Pharmaceutical Technology. She was a faculty member at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy and an associate member of the University of Kentucky Graduate Faculty. She trained few Postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and visiting scholars. Recently, Dr. Al-Ghananeem was appointed as the Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Program.
Dr. Al-Ghananeem is a member of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Rho Chi American Pharmacy Honor Society, American Chemical Society, Controlled Release Society, Drug Information Association, and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.
Her research is focused on the development of novel targeted drug delivery systems and pharmaceutical technology applications. Dr. Al-Ghananeem is experienced in developing innovative formulation technologies for the delivery of poorly soluble drugs in several areas including intranasal, oral, sublingual, buccal, ophthalmic and parenteral drug delivery.
She has ample experience in improving several drug products through design and development as well as experience in FDA guidelines with CMC focus.
Dr. Al-Ghananeem is an author of over 60 research articles, symposium abstracts, and patent applications and currently serves at the Editorial Advisory Board for many peer-reviewed pharmaceutical and clinical journals.
