Pastry Team Brings Home Medals from ACF Competition

On Monday, August 4, Baking & Pastry Arts Chair Chef Derek Spendlove, Chef Lagena Boggs (TWI student), Chef Kendall Knies (class of 2012), and students Ina Crossen and Danielle Cantrell traveled to Indianapolis to compete in the American Culinary Federation Greater Indy Competition at the Chef’s Academy.

The Indy competition has been good to Sullivan University; last year, the team won four medals and this year’s team repeated those results! Chef Boggs won gold, Chef Knies brought home a silver, and first-time competitors Ina Crossen won a silver and Danielle Cantrell was awarded a bronze medal.
