DRS. DANIEL AND METCALF PRESENT AT INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON WORKPLACE BULLYING AND HARASSMENT

Dr. Teri Daniel, dean and professor of the Human Resource Leadership program at Sullivan University, attended the 9th International Conference on Workplace Bullying and Harassment sponsored by IAWBH in Milan on June 17-20. There were 222 participants from 34 countries all convening at the University of Milano for three days of intense discussion about issues related to workplace bullying and harassment, as well as ideas for intervention.

Dr. Daniel and Dr. Gary Metcalf, professor in The Graduate School at Sullivan, presented their joint paper entitled “Taming the Beast: How American Corporations Unwittingly Conspire to Make Workplace Bullying a Rational Choice.” Dr. Daniel said, “I am happy to report that it was a somewhat provocative presentation that outlined the conceptual and theoretical framework which will support our new study about toxic leadership in the US Army.” Drs. Daniel and Metcalf reported heavy attendance at their session and that it generated a lot of discussion among participants.
