Dr. Leibold Receives 2014 Nurse Educator Award
Nancyruth Leibold, EdD, RN, MSN, PHN, LSN, adjunct faculty member in the Sullivan University College of Nursing, is the recipient of the 2014 Nurse Educator Award by Wilson Shepard Education Associates. The award was bestowed at the Transforming Healthcare Conference in Honolulu, Hawaii on January 17 and 18, 2014. Dr. Leibold was nominated by a colleague and received two letters of support from educator colleagues. The Nurse Educator Award is awarded for outstanding contributions in nursing education by distinctly clarifying and refining knowledge in the nursing discipline, promoting innovative educational methods, patterns or systems, and by enhancing professional socialization.
Dr. Leibold hosted a research presentation on the use of WebQuests in Nursing Education. She also served as the judge for the research posters at the conference.
Dr. Leibold has been a nurse for over 30 years. She has practiced in critical care, medical/surgical, and public health nursing in the roles of staff nurse, travel nurse, administrator, researcher, and educator. Her research interests include conflict management, civility, nursing education, instructional technology, and teaching strategies.
