Dr. Jeff Johnson
PROFESSOR
Dr. Jeff Johnson serves as a graduate faculty member, where he teaches economics, logistics and operations and also teaches economics at the undergraduate level. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Kentucky. From 2000 – 2007, Dr. Johnson also served as the Dean of the Graduate School for the University. He has taught at the University of Kentucky and Western Michigan University and has taught at the Sullivan University Graduate School since 1997. Prior to graduate studies at UK, Dr. Johnson worked as a research analyst at Upjohn Institute for Employment Research where he developed a broad knowledge of statistical software.
Dr. Johnson has presented and published studies on the Federal Reserve and monetary policy. He currently studies international economics and NAFTA, the effects of the U.S. tax system, the Federal Reserve System and monetary policy, both in the U.S. and abroad. He has recently also developed an interest in studying virtual economics with the broad based appeal of online gaming.
In addition to his work at Sullivan University, Jeff also serves as a board member for the Kentucky Economics Association, is very active in his local church and enjoys several hobbies including playing and coaching ice hockey.
