Dr. Tina Jaeckle
INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Tina Jaeckle received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida in Criminology and Sociology in 1990 and completed a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Houston in 1995. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida and has approximately 20 years of mental health and crisis intervention experience. Dr. Jaeckle also completed a Masters of Science Degree in Criminal Justice with a specialty track in the Behavioral Sciences from Nova Southeastern University, and earned a Ph.D. in the Humanities and Social Sciences with an emphasis in Conflict Analysis and Resolution (specialty in crisis management) from the same institution. She presently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Social and Behavioral Sciences at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida and an adjunct professor at Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky. In addition, Dr. Jaeckle is a Florida Supreme Court Certified family and dependency mediator and approved primary trainer in both areas and has presented nationally on issues of crisis/critical incidents, suicide and stress management (law enforcement), emotional/psychological survival for first responders, child abuse/homicide, domestic violence, mental illness, and high-conflict families. She serves as the mental health and training consultant with law enforcement/corrections as well as the crisis/hostage negotiation and crisis intervention teams (St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, Florida) and now consults with numerous law enforcement agencies across the nation. Dr. Jaeckle has extensive experience in the development, coordination, and training of law enforcement critical incident teams and peer support programs. She is also board certified in emergency crisis response and bereavement trauma through the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress; a member of the American Board of Critical Incident Professionals and the International College of Behavioral Sciences; A Certified Forensic Consultant and holds the Master of Forensic Social Work with the American College of Forensic Examiners; a Fellow with the National Center for Crisis Management; a visiting professor at the FBI Academy (Behavioral Science Unit/National Academy) in Quantico,Virginia; a visiting professor with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Chief Executive Seminar and Senior Leadership Program; the Criminal Justice Institute at Nova Southeastern University, and the University of Maryland Resiliency Sciences Institute (Certified in Resilient Leadership); a member of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Child Abduction Response Team; a member of the North Florida Child Death Review Team; a member of the American Red Cross Mental Health Crisis Team; completed a fellowship as the FBI's Futurist (Scholar) in Residence (FBI Academy/Quantico) for the 2008-2009 year; and was selected for the 2010 Nova Southeastern University's Distinguished Alumni Award for the Criminal Justice Institute.
