Dr. Gosser teaches in the Hospitality concentration of the MBA program at Sullivan. She has been with KFC Corporation (YUM Brands) for 28 years. She has enjoyed numerous roles throughout her career in operations including the leadership of customer satisfaction programs, operations measurement, and recognition. She has been a director of operations leading day-to-day restaurant operations with P&L responsibility. She had the opportunity to be the Dean of the Operations College for YUM University, which was a leadership development curriculum for above-restaurant leaders. Dr. Gosser has a zeal for working with the KFC franchisees and company operators to help them understand how to exceed customers' expectations. She is currently director of Operations Intelligence for KFC.

Dr. Gosser earned her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Organizational Development from the University of Louisville, her MBA from the University of Louisville, and her B.A. degree in Journalism from Indiana University. Education is Kathleen's passion and she encourages her mentees and team members to continue their educations. She enjoys applying her practical experience to the world of academia and vice versa. Her dissertation research focused on why hourly team members in the fast food industry stay with a particular restaurant.

Dr. Gosser is actively involved in community and philanthropic organizations. She is president of the Louisville chapter of Women MBAs International and vice-president of the board of directors for Options for Individuals in Louisville. She is on the U of L Ulmer School of Business Advisory Board. She is also active in raising scholarship funding for both her high school and her husband's high school.
Dr. Gosser enjoys all social events with her husband of 22 years, Don; they are very active with friends and family (including one very spoiled basset hound, Beetle).
