Dr. Angela Girdley

INSTRUCTOR

Dr. Angela Girdley first joined the Sullivan faculty in the summer of 2004 as an adjunct instructor. She began teaching management classes in the graduate program full-time in September 2004.

Angela holds the Ph.D. in Education Leadership and Organizational Development and the Master of Arts in Higher Education from the University of Louisville. Her doctoral research included state political culture and its effects on the affordability of attending college. Angela also holds the Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.

Before joining the Sullivan faculty, Angela was the director of BSU, a large, faith-based student organization at the University of Louisville. As BSU director at the University of Louisville, she coordinated about 20 hours/week of programming, managed a student center, and provided direction for 50 student leaders in an organization of several hundred participants.

Angela is frequently asked to facilitate team-building, speak on leadership development, and write blogs and essays geared especially for emerging leaders. Her hobbies include photography, sports and outdoor recreation.
