Sheri A. Caldwell, Ph.D., SPHR, CEQC, CIR

INSTRUCTOR

Dr. Sheri Caldwell received an undergraduate degree in Industrial Organization Psychology from Bowling Green State University. She also received her MBA and Ph.D. in Human Resource Development from the University of Toledo.

Dr. Caldwell is currently the Client Manager at Medical Mutual responsible for retaining accounts and working closely with benefit plan design for all of Medical Mutual's large commercial accounts. Prior to Medical Mutual, Dr. Caldwell was the HR Director at UT Physicians, as well as teaching undergraduate through Ph.D. level HR courses at Bowling Green State University, The University of Findlay and The University of Toledo. Dr. Caldwell remains on staff teaching at both Lourdes University and Sullivan University.

Prior to UTP, Dr. Caldwell was the Vice-President of Human Resources at Hickory Farms responsible for employment, compensation, benefits, training and development, in addition to facilities management. She also worked at the Toledo Zoo, Staples and Key Bank.

Dr. Caldwell is the 2005 past president of the local HR group, Toledo Area Human Resource Association (TAHRA) where she is still involved with planning of the Regional HR Conference. She is also on the Board of the Employers' Association and on the Ohio HR Conference Committee. She was recently inducted in to the Cardinal Stritch High School Hall of Fame, received the 20 Under 40 Leadership Award in 2004 and the Alumni Community Award from BGSU in 2006.

Dr. Caldwell has published various articles and is a co-author of the best-selling SHRM publication, Got A Minute – The 9 Lessons Every HR Professional Must Learn to be Successful with Dr. Dale Dwyer and Developing Emotional Intelligence In Others with Dr. Linda Gravett.

Dr. C has her SPHR certification and is a Certified Internet Recruiter as well as certified in EQ-I and EQ-360 for Emotional Intelligence and recently obtained her license in both Health and Life Insurance.
