What qualities should an Associate of Science in Marketing & Sales Management student have?

Marketing isn’t for everyone. The field of marketing is a very exciting and rewarding career; however, you need to possess certain personality traits and characteristics to make it in the classroom as well as the world of marketing. You need to be creative and self-motivated, you have to be able to work well in a team environment, you must learn to be detailed oriented, and you must understand that you will be put into a leadership role at times. There really is no one trait or list of specific traits but a combination of these and many more.

What specific skills or knowledge are taught in the Associate of Science in Marketing & Sales Management program?

There are numerous skills or knowledge that you’ll come away with in the marketing program. First, you’ll learn the importance of knowing your target market in terms of their wants and needs. If you don’t understand this, then it’s almost impossible to know how to serve them. Second, you’ll learn customer relationship management. Without building that lasting, personal relationship by applying trust, knowledge of the product, empathy and many other unknowns, you have no customers.
