National Center for Hospitality Studies

Sullivan University is home to the renowned National Center for Hospitality Studies, one of the country’s leading culinary arts, professional catering, baking & pastry arts, hotel/restaurant management, beverage management and hospitality management programs.
If your dream is to become a professional chef, own a catering business or improve your management skills, this is where you’ll master the techniques, develop your own recipes and understand the leading theories in food production. The culinary arts curriculum blends modern and classical styles in one of the country’s superior training facilities, with instruction and examples from leading chefs and other professionals. Classes are offered in four 11-week terms each year.
If you want to travel the world and help others do the same, the tourism and event management program offers a variety of programs to help your dreams come true. Train on the same programs you’ll use in the industry, of travel while you learn, and prepare yourself for the rapidly growing meeting industry.
Prostart Program
If you are a part of the Prostart program at your high school or have a two-year culinary arts program at your high school, you can potentially earn up to 14 college credits at Sullivan University and bypass some of the basic level classes. We have an articulation agreement with both the National Restaurant Association and the Ohio Restaurant Association. Real-world experience
Sullivan University students have the opportunity to practice their craft at the school’s highly rated Winston’s Restaurant, Juleps Catering and The Bakery.
